Hello, my name is Matt Glantz and I'm from Newton, Ma. I attended
Newton public schools for all of k-12 just graduating for Newton North
High School last year. I'm now a freshman attending Nichols College and
majoring in General Business. I chose this major because I'm not
really sure what I want to do when I get out of college so I figured
general business would keep my options open. I've always enjoyed
following professional sports, mostly the NBA and MLB. Being from
Massachusetts I'm a Celtics and Red Sox fan.
I took this course as it is a requirement for my major; however; I think it will extremely helpful for the rest of my college career and later in life. My main goal for this class is to get a better grasp on using Microsoft office as many professors require us to use it for various papers and projects. I also want to learn effective ways to digitally communicate now that the world is relying on the internet more and more every year.
The blog I'm choosing to write about is "Roundtable: Four burning questions". This blog interests me because I am a huge college basketball fan and the blog talks about some of the big topics right now. The blog is credible because it is on the ESPN website. I believe ESPN is trustworthy because they are the largest sports provider in the world. If they were to produce unreliable content they would not be nearly as popular. Another reason I like the blog is because the information is so good. Some of the best college basketball writers are answering the questions in this blog. There isn't a better place to get an answer to these questions.
