I chose to blog about the Facebook photos that apparetnly are never truely gone. Supposeably Facebook has been working on this issue for over three years now. ARS brought this issue up in 2009 and they are still currently working on fixing the system.
When someone deletes a photo for their Facebook page it deletes from Facebook itself but not the internet. If the photo has a direct link it can be found easily. People are finding pictures on the interenet that have been deleted for over three years  now. This is concerning people more and more because employers can go on and see posts and photos but since the photos are never truely gone it can cost someone their job.
Facebook has been "working" on this issue for three years now but ARS is hoping that they are actually working to solve this problem now. They say that they are to the point where if you delete a photo, it will delete right from the site like it always has, but will take up to forty-five days to actually delete. This whole issue is apparetnly from the systems that are being used and they are obvisouly trying to get new systems to fix the issues.

  1. I believe that it is very irresponsible of Facebook, they just leave pictures that want to be unseen, viewable for the whole world to see. I know that numerous people each day have been turned away from any organization, because of the pictures that can be viewed on Facebook. They really need to change the way that they go about putting up pictures on Facebook, if they can not be deleted right away.
