Billy Manzi
Professor Fluery-Lawson
1/17/2012
My name is William Manzi, but everyone just calls me Billy. I just turned 19 years old in January, and I play football here at Nichols College. I am from South Windsor, Connecticut. I was born in New Britain Hospital. My father William Manzi is Italian and my mother Elizabeth is Brazilian. When I was 6 years old I moved to my grandmother’s town with my brother and father, South Windsor, from Bristol, CT. I started kindergarten that year and I was soon in High School. I learned a lot from my brother, but one thing that he told me years ago still sticks with me today. He told me, “Enjoy life as it comes; soon it will all be a memory.” I feel like that was how my high school career was, it all happened so fast and I am already in college. So for the next four years I plan to enjoy life and every moment that comes, study hard, and play harder.
I live in Shamie now and enjoy it very much. I like the people in my dorm and all my friends. During my off season here I enjoy just hanging out with friends, playing videogames, and going to the gym to work out and play basketball. In the spring I plan on playing baseball, maybe for the college, but definitely for my home town Legion team. After this semester is over, I plan on playing baseball and working a lot in the summer. I’m going to work in The Mill on the River in South Windsor, Connecticut. If you’re ever around come say hi!
