blog #2

This class is a requirement for me, but I do hope to gain more skills using excel and powerpoint throughout the semester.

The FBI has come up with a great way to catch criminals. They have recently started using facebook, and www.twitter.com to track down criminals, find them and arrest them. They have found over 100,000 criminals on these social networking cites. They have found several sex offenders and seen a lot of sexual harassment on these sites. No one re-reads or takes into consideration what they are posting on these sites. You never know if someone could press charges against you due to it or even track you down. People who are uploading pictures of their house or even in a room in their house have been tracked down and killed or abused. It's very dangerous and people do not know how scary it can be. Facebook was originally made for strictly college students and that is the way it should have stayed. More crime has happened due to younger children on these sites lying about their age. the blog that I found that talks about these things is msnbc and it is very accurate. My uncle works for the FBI and told me to be very careful because there are several FBI agents that make accounts as other people. That is how they catch their suspects. All in all, these sites should go back to being used by college students and mature adults because we all know how to use them appropriately.
