My blog is from Rajon Rondo because he is my favorite MBA player. I hope you all enjoy reading it!
Spirit of Giving
Yall know that I am a giver. Last night I did it on the court with 17 assists, and today and earlier in the week I did it off the court with Shaw's. I have teamed up with Shaw's and the New England food banks, for their ninth annual Spirit of Giving food drive. We are trying to urge everyone to donate to their local food banks. Right now, food banks are suffering-they have more food going out than coming in. Because the economy is soo bad, more and more families are in need of help. Many of these families can't even afford to feed their children. That's why I have made a commitment to helping pool as much food as possible for as many families as possible. You can find a cut out of me in all of the Shaw's and Star Market groceries stores in the New England area. To help, go over to my display where you can pick up a $5-$15 dollar bag of food that will be delivered to your local food bank. Times are tough, 1 in 8 Americans do not know where they are going to get their next meal from. But, with your help we can fight hunger this season.
Hannah- I feel we have quite a bit in common because as you know I too like basketball even though things didn't work out this year for me. Not only do I play and like basketball but Rajon Rondo is my favorite NBA player! I am a celtics fan (even though they are not doing so well right now) and Rondo is by far my favorite. His blog that you shared with us is great. I love what he is doing to try and help out.
ReplyDeleteHey Hannah I like the fact that you talked about Rondo. Basketball has always been one of my favorite sports to watch and the Boston Celtics has been the main team that I have rooted for because they are my home team and have always been one of the best teams. Rondo is definitely one of the Celtics best players since he first started playing. I always find it interesting to find out what celebrities do to help out with their communities. Helping people fight hunger is very kind and generous and what Rondo is doing should make any person respect him better as a person. Finding out that Rondo is helping out with food banks also caught my attention because were I work ( stop and shop) helps food drives all around by asking for donation and sometimes sells boxes of food that will be delivered to food banks.
ReplyDeleteHey Hannah, I liked that you wrote about Rajon Rondo! I learned some new things from your blog. I never knew anything about Rajon Rondo. I never knew that he was such an influence in the community and the world. it is always nice to see an athlete that helps others! I have loved the Celtics for years now and seeing a young helpful person such as Rajon Rondo. I also learned about his assist stats through your blog which is amazing to see! I would have to say that my favorite NBA player is Ray Allen just because of the type of athlete he is. He is working out all the time. He puts his team first then himself. When I watch him I see him put his heart on his sleeve. Thank you for writing this!

ReplyDeleteHi Hannah, you probably do not know who I am but my name is Ben. I enjoyed reading your blog about Rajon Rondo as I too am a big celtics fan and play basketball myself. Rondo is a great young player who will hopefully have great success in this league, and his stats are only going to get better as he grows as a player. Thanks for writing this blog it was very enjoyable to read.
ReplyDeleteHey Hannah, I was born in medford they are right next to eachother and now I live in Tewksbury which is the town over from Billerica. I like that you wrote about Rondo because I am a big celtics fan. Everyone always tries to talk bad about Rondo because he does not have a good shot, which is getting much better as he gains more confidence. Rondo in my opinion is one of the best passers in the game right now.
