In the
article “$1,499 apple TV teased in Best Buy survey” by Doug Gross it discusses
the possible new gadgets for apple. In the article I found it interesting that
one of Steve Jobs dreams was to have apple have TVs and to Make them accessible
with other apple products. This all started in 2007 the article would
state. It is now possible to use the
apple TV to search for different things on the internet. It is now more popular
than that of Google TV. More people use the apple TV to search for different
things on the internet than that of Google TV. People though that would never
happen just because of how popular Google TV was and the very fact that Google
led the way for the search engine online. Apple has made it so that you can use
the IPads and IPhones to control the TV. This has never happened before. I find
it interesting that the very idea that Steve Jobs had come true for his
company. It’s evolved even more since his sad death. I personally thought that apple would suffer
due to the loss of their founder Steve Jobs. As a business major, I see that
man as a great success story and someone that I can look and say I want to be
like him. I just do not understand why best buy would tease people with a
$1,499 TV from apple. I can’t seem to figure out if they did it for more
publicity or to show the future? I know some people will go nuts once they see
the apple TV for sale. They literally will stand in line to just receive one;
The day that apple produces a TV will be the same day that they become a monopoly
in the United States, if they aren’t already.
I think that apple was wrong for what they did, however, at the same time
I can see why they did it. They did it so that they could get people excited
for an apple TV as well as promote their constant change with the technology.
I found it really interesting that the company had sort of made Steve Jobs dream come true. A company that is well off should have already invented a television in my eyes. You have stated in you summary about Apple being a monopoly in technology and I could not have agreed more. Even though I do not own anything from Apple, I must say that I cannot wait until I buy my first Mac. Not too long ago I had to go with my sister to get her iPod fixed, and we actually had to schedule an appointment. Although I personally, will not stand outside for anything, since I’m too lazy. I can just imagine people standing in lines over night for these brand new technologies. I will not mind standing outside of an Apply television or even a Mac. Even though Steve Jobs has passed away, his legacy will live on forever.
