Computer spyware is newest weapon in Syrian conflict

In Syria, I new threat has risen out of the ground. Computer viruses in Syria are making life very difficult for people in Syria recently. They are giving people this virus by using fake chat symbols, such as Facebook, to attract people to click on the virus. After you get the virus, opposing activists can get a hold of your identification and pose as someone that they are not. This is causing a huge uproar among local civilians in Syria.
When I read this article, I was shocked to hear what is happening in Syria right now and I could not even imagine something like this happening in the United States of America. Even though it may not be any of our business, I think that the US government should get involved in what is happening in Syria. I feel like as a global powerhouse, we should help sort out the problems that are happening in countries all around the world. Syrians are so upset with this so called cyber disaster because their identifications and computers are not safe. They want to be protected, just like we in the United States want to be from disasters like this one that is now getting worldwide attention. Although local government officials in Syria are trying to track down these hackers, the Syrian government needs more help to track these people down in a society that is not safe or stable. Syria has had enough problems lately with war breaking out and the citizens not happy with how the country is being run. The problems in Syria have continued to pile on, which in my opinion is not safe for anyone who is living in the country. If these problems are not resolved quickly, there will continue to be problems in Syria and the country of Syria will no longer be inhabitable for the local civilians living there now.
